Service Description

This 8-hour day consists of the basics of safe hand gun handling. We'll take you from known to unknown, simple to complex. While other instructors will merely show you what they want you to do, we'll tell you WHY we ask you to do things a certain way and WHY our methods are proven over and over again. Classroom discussion and practical hand's-on application will provide you with basic skills to build upon. You should come wearing comfortable clothing similar to what you'd wear on a hike, no tank tops, v-necks, or low-cut shirts. Wear flat shoes or boots, no high heels, flip flops, open toed shoes or pumps. Women should have closely trimmed nails. Long nails prevent proper grip of the firearm which can present safety issues. If you wear glasses, bring them. If you have long hair, please ensure it's pulled back away from your face in a pony tail or in a hat. If you have a firearm that you'd like to shoot, please bring it UNLOADED in a LOCKED CONTAINER. Do not bring rifles or shotguns as this is a pistol course only. We'll have breaks every 50 min and we will have time for lunch before we hit the range or you may choose to bring a lunch. You will be prepped for the Firearms Safety Certificate (FSC) which allows you to purchase a firearm. The exam is $26.00 and will be administered by the Riverside Magnum Range. After this class, it will be your responsibility to continue practicing the techniques learned in class to become more familiar with a firearm and the safety practices. This course is all inclusive. It includes classroom and range instruction, firearm rental, ammunition (20 rounds), and target. You'll also receive the SIRT Certificate which is normally another $75.00 course at no extra charge. After this class, it will be your responsibility to continue practicing the techniques learned in class to become more familiar with a firearm and the safety practices. A $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is REQUIRED to hold your spot in the class. We will not hold your seat unless a deposit has been made. If you make a deposit and cannot attend, you will need to notify us at least 24 hours in advance for us to move your seat to another date. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of deposit. Rescheduling is possible if you create an account on the site but you must reschedule at least 48 hours prior to class start time.
